About a decade ago, real estate agents figured out that when they helped clients remodel a home before listing it, they attracted higher sales prices, happier buyers, and wealthier sellers.

From the beginning of Bravura Advisory, we’ve believed the same logic applies to the sale and acquisition of businesses – and our numbers prove it. In just three years, Bravura Advisory has grown from $2 million a year in deal volume to nearly $100 million and assisted two clients in this niche in FY25. By taking a long-game approach to mergers and acquisitions, we’re consistently able to meet and exceed our client’s expectations and help them achieve the specific definition of success they’re seeking for themselves and their businesses.

We created Bravura because our industry desperately needed financial strategists willing to do more than sit across the table from business owners and offer boilerplate advice. Business owners deserve an engaged ally who takes the time to fully understand their industry, ethics, circumstances, and individual perspectives.

In contrast to typical brokers who begin their relationship with a business at the point of transaction, we prefer to start working with businesses well before it’s time to merge or sell, maximising value by the time the transaction occurs. We still provide the negotiation, network access and strategic contract services that traditional brokers offer, but with an exceptionally beneficial addition: we can take a newly remodelled and higher-performing business to market, resulting in significantly better options for our clients and a far stronger purchase price.

Everyone on our team has been on the business owner side of the brokerage relationship, and we noticed that brokers too often have a buyer in mind for a business before their relationship with the client even begins. Much like a homeowner deserves better than a real estate agent who takes the first easy offer without ever marketing the home, we believe businesses deserve a broker who will advertise them thoroughly and explore every path to find the best deal.
